Recruitment Criteria for Aircraft Mechanic Jobs

• High School (Minimum 10 years of schooling) with 2-year Trade certificate course in an engineering discipline.
• 4-6 years of experience in maintenance – Facilities/ Auto/ Electric Mechanic
• English level 5
• Thorough knowledge and experience (Theoretical & practical) in maintenance of mechanical/ electrical/ electronic/ automobile/ air-con & refrigeration systems of Ground Support Equipment or Heavy Vehicles, or Material Handling Equipment/ Systems
• Theoretical & practical knowledge on hydraulics/ lifting equipment/ conveyor systems/PLCs/ AC-DC motor control systems/ Traction batteries & chargers with minimum 2 years of experience would be an advantage.
• Effective communication in English (verbal & written).
• UAE Driving license / Home Country Driving License (not required in Cargo areas)
• Valid licence for operating equipment (ADP) (not required in Cargo areas)

Aircraft Mechanic Job Role

• Diagnose and repair faults/defects effectively on equipment/vehicles and plants under breakdown, ensuring that downtime is minimized.
• Continuously suggests and implements modifications on the equipment/vehicle based on the required approvals from the manufacturer & higher authorities to reduce maintenance costs and improve performance & safety of the same.
• Ensures good housekeeping is maintained in the workshop & other work areas, and takes proper care of tools.
• During scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of equipment/vehicles and plant, identifies any potential or existing faults/failures and highlights the same to Supervisors to initiate corrective action.
• Ensures all work-related activities carried out during the shift are recorded in the log book/work order to help plan staff log the details of work done in the Maintenance Management System.
• Leads perform scheduled maintenance as per set standards (includes manufacturers’ recommendations, ISO certification requirements, safety standards, Civil Aviation Authority, Local & DM requirements) on the various equipment/ vehicles and plants to ensure reliable/ optimum utilization of the same.
• Trains and develops the team of technicians on maintenance, fault-finding and safety procedures.
• Inspect all equipment/vehicles and plant in their area of responsibility, daily for operational reliability & safety, to help plan for corrective maintenance and to prevent accidents in the work area. Also carries out mandatory safety & quality checks of equipment/vehicles before releasing the same after completion of maintenance/repair.
• Ensures standard safety procedures are followed by the team of technicians/drivers during maintenance activities to prevent any personal injury or equipment damage.
• Plan activities daily in their area of work to deliver assigned tasks, supporting Technician & Junior Technicians as required.
• Ensures that relevant details of spares/tools required for carrying out maintenance activities are provided to the Supervisors/Maintenance Officer and/or Planning Staff well in advance to facilitate the timely procurement of the same.
