The United Arab Emirates has emerged as the country with the most powerful passport, overtaking Singapore and Germany. The country moved from third to first place after four more countries granted visa-free access to citizens of the emirate. With this, UAE passport holders can now fly to 113 countries without a visa, and 54 others with a visa-on-arrival.
As per the ratings released by Passport Index, German and Singaporean passport holders have access to 166 countries without a prior visa, whereas the US, South Korea, and a host of other European nations come next with access to 165. India ranks 67, with visa-free access to 23 countries, and visa-on-arrival in 41 countries.
UK residents have access to 119 countries without a visa, and 45 with visas on arrival. Afghanistan ranks last with access to just 29 countries without obtaining a prior visa
