Air India Air Hostess Eligibility Criteria

• Age criteria – Between 18 and 35 years (Relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC categories.
• Applicant must have a minimum of 10+2 from a recognized Board/University.
• A minimum of 1  year of experience is required as a cabin crew in a scheduled Airline.
• Applicant must have valid SEP as of 01.01.2022.
• On the date of commencement of training, candidates with qualified SEPs on the A320 family will undergo transit training for Airbus aircraft. All other candidates will go through the now-Initio training on Airbus aircraft.
• Candidates who have experience in foreign airlines and meet other set criteria of eligibility criteria can replace other SEE books in place of other alternative supporting documents.
• Height requirement – female – minimum 160 cms & male – minimum 172 cms {Relaxation of 2.5 cms for SC/ST candidates & those from North-East states & hilly states (Subject to domicile proof/Caste Certificate)}
• BMI requirement (Body Mass Index) – Females between 18 to 22, Males between 18 to 25 The formula for calculating BMI = Weight in Kgs / (Height in meters X Height in meters)>
• All the applicants who have near vision are N/5 in the better eye and N/6 in the worst eye.
• Vision: 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other eye.
• Spectacles are not allowed.
• Contact lenses up to ±2D permitted

Air India Cabin Crew Interview Selection Process in Detail

Candidates who meet the above eligibility criteria will be required to register themselves online, and eligible candidates will be required to attend the preliminary medical examination related to height and BMI examination in the morning test center, and those who will be declared eligible based on medical parameters. How to Apply Online for Air India Jobs as a Cabin Crew

But remember, this is not a walk-in interview; you can apply online or manually by posting their application form.

Before applying online, please ensure that the candidate is prepared with the following documents/information –

• A valid e-mail ID
• A DIGITAL / SCANNED passport-size photo in JPG / JPEG format (size 10 KB to 35 KB only)
• Weight in centimeters (cm), kg in kg (kg), and body mass index (BMI), Vision and Color Vision, MBBS doctor’s medical certificate. When filling out the online application form, details of the doctor’s physical standards, the doctor’s name, and the doctor’s registration number will be required. At the time of appearing for the selection process, it will be necessary for the candidates to get the original medical certificate. There is also a format of medical certificate available on the website for convenience.
• Candidates using contact lenses will need to get a certificate from an ophthalmologist, which will indicate the strength of the lens, as required while filling out the online application form. Candidates who have had lymphatic surgeries to improve their eyesight will be required to obtain a certificate from an eye specialist/assistant, in which the date will be shown for which they were given the procedure of LASER surgery, while filling out the online application form. • In favor of Air India Limited, a non-qualified demand draft for 1000 rupees (Rupees one thousand only): – Delhi – If applying for Northern Region / Kolkata – If applying for Eastern Region / Mumbai – If applying for Western Region / Chennai – If applying for Southern Region

Note – Demand Draft requirement in case of SC / ST candidates is not applicable. It can be noted that if a candidate fails to meet the physical/medical criteria, and the account is declared unfit or verification of documents, it is found that the candidate does not meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. , The demand draft will not return. Candidates will have to fill in the details of the demand draft in the online application form, which will be presented at election time.
Right to issue caste / EWS certificate for SC / ST / OBC / EWS candidates only – like issuance and issuance. (Candidates belonging to OBC categories should have a Caste Certificate in the prescribed proforma issued by the appropriate authority for the employment of the Central Government.)

After filling out the online application form, the candidates will have to take a copy of the application form and bring a passport-size photograph similar to the one displayed for the selection process.

Note: All correspondence will be done online with candidates. Eligible candidates will need to bring a photocopy of their testimonials with the date of birth, qualification, experience (copies of appointment letters, salary slip, SEP book, etc.), caste, EWS status, and medical certificate (original).
