Job Description for Configuration Control Engineer

• Obtain and maintain approved aircraft, engine, and component configurations across the fleet, ensuring regulatory compliance and data accuracy in AMOS.
• Maintaining/updating aircrafts or appliances configuration standards/baselines, drawings, and track incorporation status Service Bulletin (SB)/Airworthiness Directive (AD) incorporation status.
• Establish, update, and verify master and aircraft-specific configurations throughout the aircraft lifecycle, including deliveries, heavy maintenance, lease transitions, and fleet exits.
• Modification changes tracking: recording STCs, Engineering Orders, and Major/Minor Repair status in AMOS.
• Validate component counters, Life-Limited Parts (LLP), and technical records using approved maintenance documentation and Aircraft Maintenance Schedule (AMS) revisions.
• Coordinate configuration changes with Engineering, Maintenance Planning, Technical Materials, and Line Maintenance, and investigate and resolve configuration discrepancies.
• Ensure configuration status records support the issue and renewal of Certificates of Airworthiness or for supporting other internal/external audits requirements.
• Produce periodic configuration status reports and trend analyses for management review, highlighting discrepancies, open modifications, and configuration at risks. Making sure that technical records and configuration documentation are retained and archived in line with regulatory and company retention policies.
• Validate rotable part requirements, monitor technical log entries, LLP tracking, and conduct weekly AMOS hangar location audits.
• Manage part creation in AMOS using approved technical data in liaison with Systems Technical Services Engineers.
• Utilise the full functionality of AMOS to effectively manage aircraft configuration control and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager Technical Services or Section Coordinator.
