I think my attention to detail is my weakness. I want everything to be perfect. Sometimes I get so caught up in the small details that I forget to see the big picture. This was pointed out to me and I was able to improve myself. I am now constantly creating fi ways to balance both detail and overall condition.

My dream job will allow me to travel and discover new cultures and interesting people. This is the work that makes me excited to wake up every day, go to work, and constantly learn something new.

Answer 1 – Will my friends and colleagues say that I am a reliable person? They all know that they can trust me to listen to their problems and try to help them and a solution.

Answer 2 – Colleague John A., my colleague in Company A always said that the most organized I am is someone he knows because my area was always clean and I never left home before I finished the day’s work.

  8. Tell me about a time when you helped someone.

Mrs. Smith, a regular guest at our hotel, checked in with her niece and twins. We were not informed that infants would need sleeping cots, so arrangements were not made and we had only one cot available. I spoke to our manager and explained the situation. We had ordered a new cot in a single day, so I made sure the room was well organized, along with complimentary toys and blankets and a baby seating program. Mrs. Smith and her niece were both very grateful, and my manager also praised my efforts.

  9. Tell me about a time you made a suggestion to improve the business.

We used to have packets of sugar at each table in the restaurant I worked for. We were consuming a lot of those packages every week. I suggested to my supervisor that we put sugar cubes on the tray while serving coffee or tea. They told me that it cut sugar consumption in restaurants by 50% and the new set tasted good.

  11. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a co-worker who wasnʼt doing his/ her fair share of the work. What did you do and what was the outcome?

So as an ally of my shift. While serving lunch, I saw him slow to take orders and attend to new customers. I had to step into her field and be a part of her work. After the service was over I asked him what was happening. I came to know that her grandmother was seriously ill and she received the news only this morning. I helped her for the following days until she felt better. She appreciated my desire to do something for her and whenever necessary, we are taking extra work from each other.

  12. Tell me about a time you misjudged a person.

The boy from your side was a very shy and reserved person. One day I started talking to him and I came to know that he was indeed an engineer in his country but came here to provide a better future for his children. He was working to learn the language better and understand our culture. We became friends and he was also advising me on some projects that I was working on. I told my story to my manager, and 1 year later he was given the opportunity to interview. Now he is working in the planning department. I never decided to do a job.

  13. Tell me about a challenge at work you faced and overcame recently.

We received new computer software that will not only take reservations for the day but will also determine the customer’s details, orders, and home-delivery time. It was taking a long time for customers to input all the data while waiting. I asked the manager to get some training from the IT company. In just 30 minutes they taught me all the shortcuts and I managed to be operating clients while operating it.

  14. Why should I hire you?

You should hire me because I have expertise and experience in the field of customer service. I have exceeded all my goals and expectations of clients in my previous work, by offering personal care, attention to detail, and energy in my work.

  17. Would you say that you can easily deal with high-pressure situations?

Yes. I am dealing with busy times in restaurants where there is time pressure to complete the service. It really motivates me to do more work faster for my clients.

  18. What do you expect from a supervisor?

I hope to guide and support them. I also appreciate a supervisor who is fair, and honest and encourages the professional development of each person on the team.

Hi, there. I really appreciate your article so much. I have dreamt about being an Emirates Cabin Crew.
I am considering that to apply for it next year around January since my current job is contract then it will be ended on March next year! Please advise me how can I know when and where the open day is held.
As the Emirates Website says, currently they are recruiting via online, does it mean that only invitation has been held as recruit process? I would really appreciate if you can answer this question. Thank you in advance!
